Abstract This study aims to analyze the role of financial risk management in improving the financial performance of insurance companies, using a case study of the National Insurance Company (SAA) during the period 2020–2022. The research adopted a descriptive-analytical approach focusing on indicators such as liquidity, profitability, indebtedness, and working capital. The results revealed persistent financial imbalances and a weak implementation of risk management, which negatively impacted financial stability.
