Key words: Islamic banks, financial performance evaluation, CAMELS model. | | Résumé : | تزايد الاهتمام في الآونة الأخيرة بالبنوك الإسلامية في العديد من دول العالم باعتبارها أحد أهم دعائم الاقتصاد العالمي ومن المؤثرات الأساسية فيه، وقد جاءت البنوك الاسلامية كحل بديل للمعاملات الربوية التي تمارس في البنوك التقليدية، واعتمدت على تطبيق أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية في مختلف معاملاتها. وباعتبار البنوك الإسلامية حديثة النشأت فهي تحتاج لتقييم وضعها من عدة جوانب وخاصة الجانب المالي، للوقوف على نقاط القوة لتعزيزها، ونقاط الضعف لمعالجتها.
ومنه فقد جاء هذا البحث لتقييم الأداء المالي في البنوك الإسلامية، من خلال إجراء دراسة تطبيقية على بنك السلام الجزائري تم فيها تقييم أدائه من خلال دراسة وتحليل المؤشرات الستة لنموذج CAMELS. وتوصلت الدراسة الى أن بنك السلام الجزائري ذو أداء مالي جيد نسبيا ويعاني من بعض القصور في بعض النواحي.
Interest in Islamic banks has increased recently in many countries of the world as one of the most important pillars of the global economy and one of the main influences in it. Considering that Islamic banks are newly established, they need to evaluate their situation from several aspects, especially the financial aspect, in order to identify the strengths to strengthen them, and the weaknesses to address them.
Hence, this research came to evaluate the financial performance in Islamic banks, by conducting an applied study on the Algerian Salam Bank, in which its performance was evaluated by studying and analyzing the six indicators of the CAMELS model. The study concluded that the Algerian Salam Bank has relatively good financial performance and suffers from some shortcomings in some respects.
